🔋 Many key industrial projects crucial to Galicia and Europe are limited by energy and sustainability requirements that are not enforced by other countries, creating unfair competition that is shaping the rules of the global market 🌍.
🎤 Luís Manuel Teira Otero, Global Energy Manager at RESONAC – Graphite Business Unit, participated last week in a conference organized by the Economic Office of the Xunta de Galicia on the role of energy in the industrial development of Galicia. The event was closed by the Minister of Economy and Industry, María Jesús Lorenzana Somoza.
Teira highlighted our graphite for EV batteries project, based at the A Coruña plant, and stressed the need for energy planning aligned with Galicia’s renewable potential. 📍
🗣️ Other experts also spoke at the event, including: Natalia Barros Sanchez, Director of Oficina Económica de Galicia; Andrea Miguez da Rocha from Reganosa; Nicolás Vázquez Iglesias, Secretary General of Industry and Energy Development; Pablo Fernández Vila, Director General of Energy Planning and Mining; Camilo José Carrillo Gonzalez, Professor of the Department of Electrical Energy at the School of Industrial Engineering of the Universidade de Vigo; and Maria Landeira, Delegate for Renewable Projects Development at Naturgy in Galicia.
