A Coruña, February 20, 2025 – The Energy Transition Systems Research Laboratory (LISTE–Resonac) has officially opened its doors at the Interdisciplinary Center for Chemistry and Biology (CICA) of the University of A Coruña (UDC). The new facility, part of the Resonac–UDC Sparking Truth Chair, was inaugurated this morning by UDC’s Rector Ricardo Cao, and Juan Ignacio Borrego, City Councillor for Education, Training and Technological Innovation in A Coruña. The event was also attended by Pablo Rifón, General Director of Operations at Resonac Graphite Spain; Jaime Rodríguez, Director of CICA; and the Chair’s Director and Co-Director, Israel Temprano and Alba Tuñas, along with other members of the Chair.

Funded by Resonac Graphite Spain, the creation of the LISTE–Resonac laboratory will accelerate the deployment of technologies based on clean and renewable energy sources for generation, storage, and transformation of energy, and will drive the development of batteries for electric vehicles through research on materials such as graphite, an essential component of EV battery anodes.
